SELECTED WORK

  • Inspired by Lalo Schifrin's score from the film Bullitt, I wanted to jazz up this bluesy rock track with a classic funk-driven guitar as the lead "vocalist" in this traditional big band setup while adding air and textures from flutes and strings.

Cop shows often carry both a mysterious allure with high speed car chases. So I wanted to capture that in this original piece by blending the dark sultry opening motif with the high funk jazz energy–carrying the motif to the end.

    ABOUT THE FILM

BULLION is an opening credits sequence drawn from the cool, understated noir of late ’60s and ’70s cinema. It drifts through shadowy streets, rich with mood and atmosphere. More than a credits sequence, it’s a statement of tone: sleek, stylish, and charged with tension.

  • In the vastness of space, there's a small speck of rock inhabited by the most peculiar lifeforms: dark little dots that start to replicate fast and begin to show signs of intelligence. The film tells the story of the rise and fall of these little creatures. This film is inspired by the special times we're living through on our own planet. We're at the crossroads. The question is what makes humans actually different from bacteria in a petri dish. Surely we have culture, science and art but what does remain of these achievements if you look at our world from a global perspective.

  • This short BBC-style nature documentary by The Cue Tube highlights the hidden wonders of the insect kingdom. Using a combination of subtle counterpoint, percussive syncopation, melodic motifs woven through harmonic progression, and a diverse palette of soloists––I set out to compose a score that aims to evoke beauty and wonder as listeners are taken on a transformative journey.

  • Combining a mixture of classical orchestral motifs with modern textures, this piece marries the classic spy themes with modern day film scores. VESPER is a 4-minute fan film ‘opener’, inspired by the James Bond series of films among others. Our hero breaks into Drax’s lair to retrieve the disc, while Agent Smithers acts as decoy.

  • Custom score and sound design for Spitfire Audio’s Albion Colossus. To capture the suspension between time and reality in this apocalyptic moment, gritty synthetic textures are juxtaposed with pulsing orchestral lines and haunting atmospheric notes moving from an intimate to broad sound.

  • An electrifying cello library that offers you the ability to produce and process the raw performances and a host of new sound shaping functionality dreamt up by Tina Guo, Steve Mazzaro and the award winning developers, producers and composers at The Crow Hill Company.

  • "Music is to the soul what words are to the mind."

    – Modest Mouse

  • “I want to go and write music that announces to you that you can feel something. I don’t want to tell you what to feel, but I just want you to have the possibility of feeling something.”

    — Hans Zimmer

  • "Music is enough for a lifetime. But a lifetime isn't enough for music."

    — John Williams

  • "Be the first to not do what nobody has ever thought of not doing before."

    — Brian Eno

  • "When words fail, music speaks."

    — Hans Christian Andersen
