ELEPHANT’S DREAM
Using organic textures recorded from various typewriter parts and diving behind the bottom board of an old upright piano's bass bridge–I wanted to blend these unique sounds with both synthetic and orchestral textures because this piece is philosophically about perception, reality, and communication wrapped in surreal mechanical imagery.
Emotionally, I wanted to convey both the beauty and danger that this machine world represents as we follow Proog's devotion descend into obsession and eventual madness while trying to make Emo see what he sees.
ABOUT THE FILM: This surreal 10-minute fantasy follows two characters, Proog and Emo, as they journey through a bizarre and sprawling machine, exploring themes of communication, perception, and the imposition of ideas.
